I want to tell you about an important man who helped change our world. His name is Nelson Mandela. He had a very rough life.
Nelson Mandela had a very rough life. Growing up as a kid he didn’t really have anything. He would go out side and play stick fighting with his friends. His dad was always around, he had four wife’s and lots of kids. When he was 9 years old his father had died, so then he had to move to another village. That hurt him very bad because that was ware all his memories were and all his memories about his father were.
Nelson Mandela had great leadership characteristics. He had took a great bug role in the ‘’ANC’’. He was very brave and had lot’s of courage by doin that, because most of the police men didn’t like people that was from the ‘’ANC’’. He was really going against the whites, that could had really put him in jail for a very long time. Nelson had did it anyways he wanted to stand up for his right and for what was right. He really didn’t like the segregation that was going on between the whites and the colors. He was very calm and patient with the process of getting the right and being able to be treated just like the whites. We finally got our right and have been treated like how were supposed to be treated. That’s why were call Nelson Mandela our leader our provider our hero!

    Dear unknown,
Hi, Hello! Well I’m here to tell you about a man that helped changed our world, his name is Nelson Mandela. Around 1994 Nelson Mandela helped change our world because there was a free election, the first time that Africans got to vote. Also in 1946 I think he ran to Johannesburg to get away from an arranged marriage and after that it helped him survive from running and hiding from the cops. He fought for his justice and also other’s justice. Nelson was a man with a lot of courage, and he still is.
He is also a good leader with lots of leadership. After he was in jail for a long period of time like about 27 years and got released he was elected president of South Africa. He has a lot of leadership to be remembered of. That is why he got chosen to be the president of South Africa.

    Sincerely,

Through trials and tribulations he stood his ground and kept on fighting. Nelson Mandela was born in Mvezo, a small village in the South Africa. He was the first in his family to attend school and it was there that his English teacher gave him the name Nelson. His father died when he was 9 years old. When he was younger he used to take care of his family and make sure everything went right through all the injustice that society bestowed onto his people. Throughout his life Nelson Mandela watched as his people were mistreated and with this in mind he decided to join the African National Congress in 1942.

Mandela was a brave man who acted against violence. The United States deemed Mandela as a terrorist and refused him entry. After being on the run for 17 months, Nelson Mandela was finally captured and imprisoned for 27 years. However, toward the late 1980s, there was mounting pressure from the international and local community for the South African government to release Mandela. He was finally released on 11 February 1990. 6. Dear PaNou,

I want to tell you about an important man who helped change our world. His name is Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela grew up in a valley surrounded by grass-covered hills. When he was nine his father died, before his father died, he asked Nelson’s uncle to provide him a good education. Nelson Mandela studied English, the Xhosa language, history, and geography. His teachers were good, and he recieved the education his father had hope he would.

As a young man, he considered himself a loyal member of the ANC (African National Congress). He felt it represented the best hope for a united stand against apartheid. In 1962, Nelson Mandela was arrested. He was charged with recruiting and training for the purpose of sabotage and violent revolution. Mandela also helped many learn how to survive behind bars. On Sunday, February 11,1990, Nalson Mandela was released from prison for the first time in 10,000 days. He was seventy-one years old. Now, Nelson Mandela is 91 years old.

    Sincerely,

  7. Dear Angelina,

I wanted to tell you about a very important man we are learning about in class. His name is Nelson Mandela. He was born in a small village in South Africa on July 18, 1918. His father was the chief, but sadly, his father died when Nelson was only 9 years old. Since his father had died, he was taken in by his uncle. His uncle had given him the education his parents wanted for him. Later he ran away from home to Johannesberg. In Johannesberg, he saw how all of the blacks were treated & realized that he had to do something about. That is when he joined the African National Congress (ANC).

Nelson Mandela was a man who stood up for the rights of blacks in South Africa. Him & the ANC believed that the blacks deserved better than having laws that limited them to do so little with their lives. So they tried to solve their problems non-violently. Nowadays, everybody tries to solve their problems physically. They have to remember that using violence does not help. & i am amazed that Nelson Mandela never resorted to violence through out his fight for equality. He is a very brave & amazing man.

    Sincerely,
    Liew Saechao

  10. Dear Itzel,
I want to tell you about an important man. His name is Nelson Mandela.
Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918, in a tiny village called Mvezo in the region of South Africa witch is at the very bottom of the country of Africa. His dad was dead when he was 9yrs old. So he has to go to live with his uncle, who was also a tribal chief. But do you know that his real name is Rolihlahla and that means “one who brings trouble on himself.” But in South Africa the people call him madiba, but we call him Nelson because when he was 7ysr the teacher changes his name to nelson because nobody could pronounce his real name. When he grows up he wanted to college named fuorthest, but then he was expulsed of college just because they tell him to be a leader of the college but he didn’t want to so they kick he out. After that his uncle wants him to get married but he doesn’t want to so he run away fro home. But did you know that he saw a lot of apartheid. Apartheid means when people are separate just because they different color, race like blacks and whites work in different parts, eat in different parts, they go to different hospitals. When he run away from his house he considered himself a loyal member of the ANC. ANC stands for African National Congress that is a group of people who fought for the rights of black South Africans. And all they were planning faith the president for blacks freedom but not real faith they decided to use sabotage that is like make a mess in some bodies else’s place so they were make a mess in the whites place to live broke things, post lines and more but then he got arrest for 27 years in a place that is 7×7 big, that little as a sandbox and he was 44yrds old. When he got out of prison he was 71 yrs. then he got be president of South Africa then when he was 80 years he decided to retire and spend more time with his family. And did you know that he is still alive yea he is old, he is like 93 years old.
Nelson Mandela is calm, mellow, brave, and humble, has morals, he got a tot or experience, high sense of morality, cares about those who have less, noble, loyal, leader.
Ok I hope you learned something in this letter 🙂
    Sincerely, Rosa Carrillo
