Each day, we will be coming to the computer lab and you will be learning about one group. Ms. Hull and Mr. Ferlazzo will tell you which group we are studying on each day.

The Hmong guys they like to choose play soccer teams and volleyball teams very important in there countries. Also Hmong guys they’re not height, but they know how to support to play sport with other teams. Finally, everyone wants to play soccer’s and volleyball so much. It is still a major sport for the community.

Also I learn more about the Hmong language has 53 consonants and 13 vowel sound. More that I learn today is the Hmong history of the Hmong people, their journey to the United States.

    Hmong Culture

    I learn that Hmong people when they sick they need someone to come and do ceremony, and burned pieces of a paper that represent bad spirits as part of a ceremony for a newborn infant. Ms. Vue can go into trances for hours, negotiating with spirits in return for sacrificed animals. An egg, bells and horns are laid out for Ms. Vue to use during a home ceremony. Ms. Vue chanted and danced atop a bench in front of a makeshift altar, and she need someone to hold her and don’t let her fall of the bench.

    Today I learn about Hmong culture. Hmong culture have many different things. Some people religion different because some still believe like Hmong old rule. But some believe in god or C.

    I learn that shaman help there soul. So today I will learn Hmong culture. They must use a cow, chicken, egg, and pig to help the people that get sick. When they get a disease then they need a shaman to help them to not get a disease. Also they will not have sickness.

  11. Shamans help people who sick. When someone was sick they need a shaman to help them. They must need a pig, cow, and chicken to help. Also, when they do their shaman thing they use a horn in half, two bell, two cup of water, rice. And egg.

  15. I learned that many Hmong people chose to come to the United States and live here because of the war. The Hmong people migrated from southern china to the mountains of Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. The Vietnam War spread into Laos. Another thing I learn is that when Hmong came to the United States some of them came with paj ntaud a flower cloth. Hmong also tell stories through the paj ntaud.

    I learned that Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American labor leader who fought for workers rights and civil rights for farms workers. Cesar was born on March 31, 1927, near Yuma, Arizona. Cesar name was name after his grandfather. Cesar didn’t like to read when he was young but when he got older, he read many books. Cesar attended more than thirty schools as a child, he learned to read from his grandmother. Cesar Chavez died in nineteen ninety-three at the age of sixty-six. More than forty thousand people attended his funeral.

    To day, I learned about Cesar Chavez he family was traveled from place to place to harvest grapes, lettuce, beets, and many other crops. They also worked very hard and received little pay. In 1948, Mister Chavez married Helena Fables who he met while working in the grapes field in central California. He learned to read and write from his grandmother and he mother also taught him about the Catholic religion. Now Cesar Chaves was a Mexican American labor activist and leader of the united farm worker.

I learned that the origin of Olmec star 1200b.c. this is a mystery because they disappear and no one knows why they disappear. Another thing I learned is that the big heads of stone were moved by the Olmec but how do they do it that is a mystery because they didn’t have wheels.
