I am a Sac City teacher who has taken one of your face to face PDs at Oakridge.
As it so happens, I’m about 2 to 3 hours drive time from DC on the east coast. I’m sitting on the fence as to whether to take the time and money to jaunt down to NECC.
I don’t even know exactly what I’d be looking for if I did go down for a day. Almost feel like I need to produce more output before I take in more input. (I’m working on a tech based curriculum project this summer)
Any general advice? Am I missing the chance of a lifetime if I don’t go? Thanks, and again, enjoy your adventure!
Next year will be at Denver, which is closer. Do you think you can get to Denver? If yes, then you might want to wait. OTOH, you’ve got transport taken care of. Do you have a place to stay, because it is VERY expensive, ir not impossible to find a room at this point? If you have room and transport, I would go for it. If not, think about Denver. My 2 cents….
